Mission

The Group is tasked with developing solutions to integrate new technologies into commercial law and ownership supervision.

University of Wrocław Professor Marek Leśniak, Ph.D.

Professor at the University of Wrocław, Head of the Department of Economic and Commercial Law at the Faculty of the Law of Administration and Economics, University of Wrocław. Notary, co-author of the amendment to the Commercial Companies Code on online registering of a limited liability company (2011). Author and co-author of publications in company law and civil law.

Artur Nowacki, Ph.D

Ph.D. in Law, researcher at the Department of Commercial Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Warsaw. Warsaw-based legal adviser, author of some 100 research papers in company law, restructuring and bankruptcy law, arbitration, commercial contracts, securities, and banking law.

UWr Professor Bogusław Sołtys, Ph.D.

Professor at the Department of Economic and Commercial Law at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics, University of Wrocław. Academic teacher, lecturer in commercial law and advertising law. Specialist in commercial law (including companies law and contracts), pharmacy law, competition law, industrial and intellectual property law, and legal profession law. Chief justice at the Court of Arbitration at the Lower Silesian Chamber of Commerce, Wrocław, legal adviser (since 1995), author of legal analyses and research papers.

In 2000 he graduated from the Faculty of Law, Administration, and Economics at the University of Wrocław. In 2000–2007 he was a researcher at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics at the University of Wrocław. In 2005, he was inscribed on the list of legal advisors maintained by the District Chamber of Legal Advisors in Wałbrzych. Since 2006 he has been in charge of the Rafał Wiatr Legal Adviser. He has been the Managing Partner at Wiatr & Partners Law Firm. Awarded with Forbes Professionals Public Trust Professions competition (2012). In 2016–2020 he served as Deputy Disciplinary Proceedings Representative at the District Chamber of Legal Advisors in Wałbrzych. In 2017 his years-long expertise in resolving disputes made him the Mediator at the Economic Mediation Center at the Chamber of Natural Gas Industry, Warsaw. In 2020 he was appointed to serve as Member of the Expert Group at the Committee to Reform Ownership Supervision.

Attorney at Baker McKenzie’s English law desk in Warsaw, where he specializes in M&A, Private Equity and Venture Capital in technology, financial and medical industries. His work includes handling international transactions and supporting businesses, local and global corporates, and investment funds. He has been advising and representing foreign and Polish clients doing business in Poland and abroad, respectively. He provides legal support to investment funds in their day-to-day management of portfolio companies. In 2015 he was honored among 30 Rising Stars in the legal professionals rankings published by Wolters Kluwer and Dziennik Gazeta Prawna. Director of the Program Committee of the Digital Poland Foundation.

Legal adviser, graduate from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Experienced specialist in capital transactions and funds acquisition. Specialist in joint investment projects and corporate consulting. She assists in technology-related projects to develop financial markets: blockchain, DLT, Big Data, or AI. In 2011–2020 she represented BWHS Law Firm as its founder and managing partner. She was and still serves as a member of governing bodies in commercial companies.

Filip Ostrowski, Ph.D.

Ph.D. in Law. He holds Master’s Degree and Ph.D. in Law from the Jagiellonian University. A graduate of Law and Management, University of Aberdeen (United Kingdom). He gained professional experience in an international law desk in Warsaw and then as a manager in the Polish Oil and Gas Company. He now serves as Director of the Bureau for the Reform of Ownership Supervision at the Ministry of State Assets. He has an extensive experience in being a member of supervisory boards. Author of publications in company law and sector regulations.

Izabela Wojtyczka

Deputy Director of Bureau for Reform of Ownership Supervisory at the Ministry of State Assets. Member of the Supervisory Board of PKP Cargo. A graduate from the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, University of Warsaw. A graduate of Economics, Warsaw School of Economics. In the past, she worked for the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM) and Polish energy businesses.
